District heating companies, municipal heating utilities and large commercial facility operators face long-standing challenges: inaccurate heat metering across wide flow fluctuations, high manual meter-reading costs, difficulty in pipeline network balancing, and lack of data support for energy efficiency optimization. Our DN50-DN200 Ultrasonic Heat Meter for District Heating is purpose-built for large-caliber heat metering at regional, building and industrial-commercial user levels, serving as a core terminal for smart heating systems. With industry-leading ultrasonic measurement technology and robust communication capabilities, it delivers high-precision heat metering across extreme flow ranges, real-time remote data transmission, and full data support for system balancing, energy efficiency analysis and fault diagnosis.
This large diameter ultrasonic heat meter achieves a maximum range ratio up to R500, enabling accurate measurement from extremely low flow rates in nighttime/transition seasons to peak flow rates in severe cold periods, eliminating metering deviations of traditional heat meters in variable flow conditions. It uses high-precision PT1000 temperature sensors with 0.01℃ resolution for supply and return water temperature monitoring, maintains Class 2 accuracy, and supports dual-mode metering for both heating and cooling energy, adapting to year-round HVAC system requirements.
The meter supports multiple mainstream communication protocols including M-Bus, RS485, NB-IoT and 4G, enabling automatic upload of heat consumption data to a cloud management platform. It empowers heating operators with remote data monitoring, energy consumption analysis, pipeline network balancing and fault early warning, drastically reducing on-site operation costs and improving the refined management level of heating pipelines.
Powered by a high-capacity DC 3.6V lithium battery, the meter delivers a service life of over 10 years without battery replacement, meeting the long-term operation needs of district heating projects. It features an IP68 protection rating, 1.6MPa maximum working pressure, and stable operation in -25℃~55℃ ambient temperatures, with pressure loss ≤25kPa to avoid additional energy consumption of the heating system. It supports both horizontal and vertical installation, with a multi-angle display head for flexible on-site reading.
Equipped with an 8-bit LCD display, the meter shows real-time and cumulative data including cumulative heat/cooling energy, thermal power, supply/return water temperatures, temperature difference, cumulative/instantaneous flow, power-on time and alarm records. It supports complete historical data traceability, meeting the metering audit and compliance requirements of heating utilities and energy management departments.
